About Hooper's Books & Art
Hooper's began in 1978 as Hooper's Books, a mail-order catalog business specializing in scarce and rare books about horses and equestrian sports.
Over the years it evolved into shops in Leesburg and Middleburg, Virginia, with a general stock of books as well as specialty areas. Now, as Hooper's Books and Art, we operate from our home with visits by appointment and specialize in dog items, equestrian subjects and a few other fine stray items. We also exhibit occasionally at dog shows, equestrian events, antique shows, etc.
Hooper's is a member of the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers. We have done appraisal work for the Smithsonian Institution, National Sporting Library and various individuals.
We hope to be of service and meet you either on-line, over the telephone or in person at one of the shows or our home gallery.
